A Dream

The warm white light bouncing off the walls
as I think about her in the twilight of the evening.
I remember how beautiful she looked in the halls
before class, before everything.

The gentle moonlight glistens upon the grass
on the porch of which I used to lay upon.
When I'd talk to her through the night
and look up at the stars that shine on.

The nighttime breeze sighs upon my balcony
and speaks of the girl who runs through my dreams
He tells me that now is a good as time as any
to strive for her heart, though as hard as it seems.

So I take my stand and journey on,
no matter how minuscule the light at the end of the tunnel is
Nothing will hinder me, till her heart I have won
so I shall put up my stakes, and step forward.
For her heart, and for her smile I will do this.
